Fran Gould // Oil Painter Artist

Fran has been fortunate to be a part of an artistic family, her grandfather painted in Australia, and on a visit recently to one of the places in the paintings a rural scene with paddock and horses, now reveals a sprawling city. The family have had these paintings restored and they hang with pride in their homes. A collection of images spanning 50 years of creative expression.

Fran is absorbed with the idea of creating paintings that are different, and aims for that original subject when taking photos. Usually life, places and people that she feels an empathy with. She has worked with acrylics and water colour, and now prefers oil as her medium.

She has to feel an enthusiasm, and empathy for the subject that is to be painted and her object is to portray this to you, the viewer.
