Surcouf studied the fine art of lost-wax bronze casting at the Northern Arizona University,USA. There, Surcouf had access to the well-equipped foundry where she produced limited edition bronze series. After leaving the University, she continued bronze casting with a private foundry until her move to New Zealand in 1990.
All of Surcouf's work ranges in style from representational to abstract, nothing is off limits. Her work is in numerous private collections in the US and here in New Zealand. Though Surcouf has recently turned her attentions to painting, she is interested in considering commissioned sculpture or computer graphics work.
